Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the manufacturing industry. Experience in the electric vehicle industry is a plus.
- Extensive knowledge and experience dealing with suppliers in China and India.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing supply chain strategies that have contributed to the company's bottom line.
- Excellent understanding of supply chain processes, lean methodologies, and ERP systems.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to operate and influence effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Strong leadership skills, with proven ability to develop teams and drive performance.
- Ability to travel internationally as required.
The Head of Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing Leading, developing, and executing the strategic vision for the end-to-end supply chain operations encompassing procurement, material planning, logistics, and distribution.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers from China, India, and other locations to ensure consistent and reliable supply of materials and components.
- Work cross-functionally with production, sales, and finance teams to drive integrated business planning and forecast accuracy.
- Implement robust performance management systems and metrics to track supplier performance, delivery accuracy, inventory levels, and cost efficiencies.
- Create risk management strategies to mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations and standards.
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers to optimize cost, delivery, and quality.
- Lead a team of supply chain professionals and provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain and foster a culture of lean, process improvement, and operational excellence.
